Idle-Empire - Earn PayPal, Gift Cards & More | An extensive overview
This is a full overview about Idle-Empire, a GPT (Get-Paid-To) site that's been around since 2015. Idle-Empire is primarily targeted towards gamers, but they also have payouts through PayPal, Gift Cards, Cryptocurrencies, and Perfect Money - so I think it's a good fit for beermoney too! Idle-Empire has a lot of different earning and payout methods, some that you won't find on regular GPT sites. I'll go over every earning and payout method in this post.
You get 500 Points ($0.05) for free when you sign up through my referral link, and of course, you support me too. I'll also include a clean link for people who prefer not to use my referral link:
As far as I'm aware, there are no country restrictions on Idle-Empire. Everyone can sign up. There are some earning methods where your country does not matter, for others it does matter. People from all countries are able to idle, mine, complete promotions, and collect referrals. The availability of surveys, offers, and videos depend on your country.
Idle-Empire uses the term "Points" for their virtual currency. 10,000 Points are worth $1.00.
The minimum payout amount is $0.10 for most payout methods. Some payout methods like gift cards ($1.00 - $10.00) or PayPal ($2.50) have a higher minimum payout amount. You'll need to verify your account before you can make your first payout. You can verify your account with your mobile phone number, a verification code will be sent to your phone number.
In this section, I'll describe all available earning methods and add my personal opinion and experience about every method.
Surveys & Offers
I guess everybody here is familiar with the concept of surveys and offers. They are tasks that involve answering questions, downloading programs and mobile apps, registering on platforms, and much more. It's a grind but it can pay off since there are some offers that pay good money. Idle-Empire has a number of different offerwalls, here's a full list:
Personally, I like doing surveys and offers because they pay well. But it's also more work than other earning methods. No pain, no gain.
Idle-Empire has videos from EngageMe.TV, Smores.TV, and Hideout.TV. I believe many of you guys are familiar with those 3 providers, they are all owned by AdscendMedia. All you have to do is watch videos and sometimes there's gonna be an advertisement in between videos, and after every 3 ads, you get paid 50 Points. I liked to do videos in the past because it was easy and fast. Now I do it less, I feel that it became slower because I get fewer ads than before.
You have to join the Team Fortress 2 game servers of Idle-Empire and every minute you receive 1 Point. That's 1440 Points per day, which is $0.144 per day or $4.32 per month. It's not much but you don't have to do anything for it except being on the server. This process is called "idling" because you don't do anything. Idle-Empire shows video ads on the servers, so I guess that's how they can afford to pay people for being on the servers. Team Fortress 2 is free-to-play on Steam, so everyone can just install it. Idle-Empire also has an Autojoin tool which makes sure you automatically get reconnect to the server in case of a disconnected (can happen if your internet is down for a moment). I'm usually on the game servers 24/7 because it's free money for me - my computer is always running anyways and having the game run in the background doesn't bother me since it's not slowing down my computer.
Most people will have noticed the cryptocurrency craze during 2017 and 2018, where mining also played an important role. Idle-Empire has its own cryptocurrency miner and you get paid for running it on your computer. The average hashrate is currently 261 hashes per second. There's a calculator on the Idle-Empire website and it says that you earn 32,451 Points per month with that hashrate - that's $3.24. Note that this is just the current average, you might earn less or more depending on the GPU and CPU you have. The issue with mining is that it takes your computer a lot of its CPU/GPU power, so you won't be able to use it for other stuff in the meantime. Your computer will also consume more electricity. I believe mining isn't worth it for most people anymore unless you don't pay for electricity. I've used mining about 10 months ago or so and it was much more profitable at the time, I was making $0.80 - $0.90 per day. Haven't done it since the profitability went down, I think for most people it's only worth it now if you have free electricity.
Idle-Empire has a simple referral system - you earn 20% of what your referrals earn through surveys/offers, servers, and mining. Here are the terms:
The referred user must be new to Idle-Empire
You earn 20% of all Points that the referred user earns through surveys/offers, servers, and mining
You earn 50 Points for every new referred user
The referred user earns 500 Points when signing up through your referral link
20% is pretty nice and I believe it can be a good passive income if you get active referrals.
Promotions are basically offers from Idle-Empire. Most promotions are simple to complete. There are some promotions that you can do on a daily basis just by pressing a button, that's pretty good. Also, I think it's worth to complete all the tasks that just require a few button clicks like verifying your email or following them on social media. Here's a full list of all promotions:
Verify your email address (50 Points)
Connect a social media account to your Idle-Empire account (50 Points per account)
Follow Social Media
Join the Idle-Empire Steam group (100 Points)
Follow Idle-Empire on Twitter (100 Points)
Join the Idle-Empire Discord server (100 Points)
Include Idle-Empire in your Steam name (50 Points per day)
Change your Steam avatar to the Idle-Empire avatar (50 Points per day)
Roll a daily dice on the Idle-Empire Discord server (10 to 1,000 Points per day)
Invite people to the Idle-Empire Steam group (10 Points per user)
Invite people to the Idle-Empire Discord server (30 Points per user)
Create a YouTube video about Idle-Empire (5,000 Points)
Create a forum post about Idle-Empire (2,000 Points)
Create a blog post about Idle-Empire (10,000 Points)
In this section, I'll quickly summarize the available payout methods.
I'm sure everyone is familiar with PayPal. Idle-Empire sends USD to your PayPal account. There's a fee of $0.30 + 2.9%.
They currently offer gift cards for the following platforms:
League of Legends
Idle-Empire has cryptocurrency payouts through Coinbase. The coins will be sent to your Coinbase account with zero fees. These currencies are supported:
Perfect Money might be an alternative to PayPal for some people, especially when PayPal isn't available in your country. Perfect Money funds can be converted to Bitcoin, Skrill, Neteller, Payeer, Payoneer, and many others. Idle-Empire sends USD to your Perfect Money account.
BitSkins is a marketplace for Steam items, mainly for CS:GO and TF2 skins but many other games are supported too. Idle-Empire sends USD balance to your BitSkins account.
OPSkins is a marketplace for virtual and physical items. Idle-Empire sends Operation Points to your OPSkins account.
CSGOShop is a marketplace similar to BitSkins but apparently, it has fewer users and supports fewer games. Idle-Empire sends USD balance to your CSGOShop account.
KeyJoker seems to be a website where you can buy cheap indie Steam games. Idle-Empire sends credits to your KeyJoker account.
Idle-Empire has "Boosters" that are randomly created on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Boosters temporarily increase the earnings for one earning method, the boost can range from 1% to 100% and lasts a few hours. I've seen boosters for surveys/offers, videos, mining, and the game servers.
Idle-Empire can be a good alternative to traditional GPT sites for many users, especially since it doesn't have any country restrictions. It has some unconventional earning methods like idling, mining, and some promotions but you'll also find the usual surveys, offers, and videos. Idle-Empire has many different offer walls, so that's nice if you like to grind. The payout methods are primarily targeted towards gamers but they also have payouts through PayPal, Gift Cards, Cryptocurrencies, and Perfect Money. So I guess there's something for everybody. The boosters on weekends are a good opportunity to complete some high paying offers and get a nice bonus on top. Coupons are also regularly posted on Twitter and the other social media channels and they can be redeemed in just a few seconds, so that's fast and easy. I hope this extensive overview was helpful to some people! :)
Of Wolves and Weasels - Day 157 - DOGE4DOGE - Week Two: Building Upward
Hey all! GoodShibe here! Yesterday we took a look at some of the things you wished you could do with Dogecoin, some of the ideas that you had -- and I have to say that, wow, I'm quite impressed. The list you created is a great sneak-peek at some fantastic ways forward for our DOGEs. So, now not only have we managed to build the foundations of a Bootstrap Service Economy -- Where Shibes can hire Shibes for Dogecoin -- but now we've also put together a fantastic 'wishlist' for prospective, enterprising Shibes and businesses to tackle. Even better, now we can begin the fun part of pairing up our wishlists with businesses that might already do something similar. As an added bonus, more Dogecoin businesses get some free promotion. And for the businesses who do something similar, but not quite there, maybe this is an opportunity to expand one's business toward where the demand is ;D) So, if you know of any businesses that fulfill the needs put forward on the wishlists below -- or would like to add things to this wishlist -- please let me know in the comments! Things we wish we could buy with Dogecoins
doge-themed ladies apparel and accessories.
"one thing I would really like is a little brass Ð keyring"
"Expedia now jumped on Bitcoin's back. I would LOVE to be able to buy my vacations with Doge"
Tip my waitress
Donate to my favorite bands
Give to homeless on the street
Pay DOGE to watch yesterday's The Daily Show online without ads.
the possibility to buy Dogecoin with PaysafeCards would be really great,
Goals/Projects to undertake
Simplify and take the intimidation out of buying Dogecoins.
Simplify and take the intimidation out of businesses accepting Dogecoins
Tip people on FB, and recipients could instantly see the value of the coin in Fiat and be linked to a page that could show them what they could get/buy with the amount of Doge's they had.
a dogecoin debit card - easy to spend and replenish
Joomla and Wordpress tipping and e-commerce plugins / components.
better linux documentation.
have the same wallet on multiple devices.
All in all, we're starting to really gather some steam here in Week 2! Let's keep the momentum going! It's 8:29AM EST and we're at 82.46% of DOGEs found. Our Global Hashrate is spiking from ~52 to ~62 Gigahashes per second and our Difficulty is also spiking from ~870 to ~1075. As always, I appreciate your support! GoodShibe If you have work you need done, please consider hiring a Shibe first from our BOOTSTRAP SERVICE ECONOMY If you have skills to sell for Dogecoin or would like to hire a skill that's not on the above list - let me know in the comments and I'll add your request here. If you want to build a team or have a project you want to move forward, let me know in the comments. If you have an artist you want to shout out or work you think needs more attention, or sale on the way or a business on the rise... let me know in the comments. Together, we rise, my friends! Services on Offer
TurntableKittah "Right now as a merchant/artist, I'm busy putting together my website. I'm trying out SmugMug for my photos. I wanted to use this type of site because I really don't have the overhead to buy a used printer. Part of the deal is that my work is being printed by four different printers. They get a chunk of my payment for their work. Now I am preparing artwork based on Doge for uploading onto this site, but I need rent money :''''( Any ideas. Thanks."
The DOGE League: This sounds like it could be a lot of fun for gaming Shibes and, especially, as we look to integrate the Twitch.tv tipbot that should be coming online soon. He seems enthusiastic but could use some help, any Shibes want to give him a hand?
DOGE4BUSINESS: ShibeShen (whom you may remember from this thread) is looking to create a store that caters to Shibes only. Buys things with Fiat but sells them ONLY in Dogecoin. He's also, specifically, asking you what you'd like to see him sell. This is a great opportunity for Shibes and a well-and-true Tycoon Doge who is willing to stick their neck out for us. Give him a moment of your time, please.
The problem I'm facing is as follows; I had a lot of money in paysafecard, which I turned into bitcoins on virwox.com. From that website I sent 0.0032 btc to a newly generated address on Bitcoin core - 3J2tCijTKQLd6jtf3nk8QTtLa73xkVhgfk. (https://blockchain.info/address/3J2tCijTKQLd6jtf3nk8QTtLa73xkVhgfk). Now, what I didn't notice before sending to Bitcoin Core was the long syncing time, and I didn't have any space on my harddrive to download all the shit. Therefore, I went into the Bitcoin Core console: - dumpprivkey 3J2tCijTKQLd6jtf3nk8QTtLa73xkVhgfk (didn't encrypt the wallet so I could type that command straight) - got the private key - tried to sweep it into electrum - got error "No inputs found. Note that inputs need to be confirmed". The private key was " Private Key WIF Compressed 52 characters base58, starts with a 'K' or 'L'", so I tried to convert it to an uncompressed WIF key, starting with 5K via bitaddress.org. When I tried to sweep the btc to electrum with the new, uncompressed address, I got the same input error. Now, what's wierd is that when I check the address it does indeed have 0.0027 bitcoins on it. I double checked the privatekey many times through the Bitcoin Core console, and it's correct. NOW, the issue I'm facing is that I uninstalled the Bitcoin Core client by mistake, and lost the address containing the bitcoins on the client. I do, however, still have the privatekey. Therefore, finishing Bitcoin Core syncing isn't an option. Also, when I enter the privatekey into a wallet and get the address which it belongs to, I don't get the the same address that shows in bitcoin core - 3J2tCijTKQLd6jtf3nk8QTtLa73xkVhgfk. VIDEO showing the issue here: https://i.gyazo.com/040dc198efe8ff43d53b41d8a9a3cb9e.mp4 When in Bitcoin Core, I generated a new address - 3CtkTu3Um53F2xriKGZn6wLcAHUuCoZQKD, got the privkey from the console, entered it into a wallet, and when the address corresponding to the privkey came up, it was a different one from the starting 3CtkTu3Um53F2xriKGZn6wLcAHUuCoZQKD. The new address was 1PNVUnBPv4E23Eh8MKTnoNbBV7qCkka9x4. I suspect this is the same issue that I had with the original address. Any suggestions as to what I can do in order to retrieve my bitcoins to electrum or any other wallet for that matter?

What is your budget per month? 10euro/12USD/15CAD How much disk space do you need? 600GB to 1TB Are you looking for shared or dedicated seedbox? Slow, fast, fastest. As fast as possible since again it is to upload to gdrive Do you use public trackers extensively? mixed but mostly private How much experience do you have with seedboxes, linux, and alike? Need a lot of handholding? im average, i have setup a headless machine and currently have a SYS server for plex. Particular payment methods the vendor needs to accept: bitcoin, paypal, paysafecard, Turkish Lire? i have a Feral box that i have been on for 2yrs but its about end. Currently i am trying out Seedhost.eu for a month. I like Seedhost but they dont support Medusa and they use apache for reverse proxy and with limited access i am sort of stuck with using Medusa in http and they wont help me figure it out since it isnt one of there application. I would prefer root access so i can set thing up and have control. I have googled and searched reddit and lowEndtalk. I have found places like vpsdime and Time4vps but i think they both have bandwidth issues from what i have read. I also was looking at online.net but i am not sure about the CPU on the Dedibox SC 2016 for converting if it will do the job well and with there setup fee, i am hesitate to try it out. But it was my first choice. I know there is Kimsufi also but there speed at 100mbps would be too low for what i need i think. Thanks
[Q] Is it viable to buy games on sale an later resell them here?
So my problem is that I have a paysafecard that I can convert to steam wallet but not to anything else like paypal or bitcoin. If I would buy games on sale and resell them here for Paypal or Bitcoin, would that be a viable strategy to convert my paysafecard to paypal/bitcoin? How much would I get back from the game and how long does it take to sell steam games?
It would be a good idea for Riot to accept Bitcoin. And here are some actual reasons this time!
Every time this post comes up it doesn't survive because a few arguments are brought up, which, while technically true, are not a real reason against it. I'm going to address all of these this time, instead of just posting this as a statement of fact.
Volatility: This is the big one it might seem. OP, why should Riot risk holding Bitcoins, when tomorrow their value could sink to 0? The answer to that: They shouldn't. There are payment solutions like Bitpay that will instantly convert Bitcoin into the currency the merchants desire. This way, Riot never has to actually hold any Bitcoin. The volatility risk is covered by Bitpay. There are some fees associated with Bitpay, but guess what, accepting credit cards is also far from free. In fact, every CC transaction has a fee for the accepting merchant, while Bitpay has no transaction fees. The most expensive plan available would be covered if just 60 players out of millions use Bitcoin every month to buy the biggest RP package. There are also fees for currency conversion with the other payment options: Paysafecard for example, will always convert my Swiss Francs into Euro.
How do you know enough players even use Bitcoin?: We obviously don't. But, as PC gamers, the playerbase of League of Legend is much more likely to be enthusiastic about new technology than the average person. Riot also seem to have realized something which I will call "low barrier of entry" is highly beneficial for them. Take a look at this picture: http://i.imgur.com/n8m4egr.png These are the payment options for Switzerland, my country of origin. 4 of them I have actually never even heard of. So why are they on there? Because League of Legends is essentially free, there will always be some players that are thinking about buying RP, but have never done it. So when these undecided players check the store and realize the only way they can pay in is a way they don't have access to (because of age, credit card debt or any other reason), this "obstacle" might actually stop a sale from happening. This is why it's beneficial to Riot to offer as many payment options as possible. Other companies that don't operate under a F2P model don't have to think about that - most of their users are already committed to making a sale when they are in their store. Bitcoin is available EVERYWHERE. Some countries also have limited payment options for legal reasons.
Why should Riot get on board before everyone else is doing it? Publicity. When Riot picks up Bitcoin, it will be newsworthy. Bitcoin users (most of which have a PC that is strong enough to handle much more perfomance heavy games) will hear about it, and I'm willing to bet it will also hit some publications which are not read purely by Bitcoin afficionados or existing LoL players. It's a positive move, and will make them look like visionaries. If for example Valve does this move first, the publicity is obviously going to be a lot lower once Riot follows suit.
Maybe they are already thinking about it? Maybe. We don't know that. Letting them know we're interested in it might influence their decision. After all, we just witnessed an event where Riot corrected course based on community reaction (Update on the LCS Streaming policy). We do matter to them!
I for one would love to switch to Bitcoin for buying my RP! It would be much more convenient than going out to buy paysafecards every time, and I still don't want to own a credit card. DISCLAIMER: I currently personally hold an amount of Bitcoins somewhere between 1 and 100 ;) I would obviously benefit from this move. But I would also feel an obligation to spend some of my held coins to prove the worth of Bitcoin as a payment system! I can always buy more ;) PS: For anyone who doesn't yet understand what Bitcoin is: http://www.weusecoins.com and http://bitcoinfaq.com/
Begin the trade – If you are satisfied with the seller’s terms, enter the amount of Bitcoin you want to buy, and start the trade. This will open a live chat with the seller. Follow the instructions of the seller to make the payment and confirm it. Receive the Bitcoin – The seller will then release the Bitcoin directly into your Paxful wallet.
